Setup
Place and set up a desk lamp around screens and paper
A desk lamp should be planned as part of the same workspace as the screen, keyboard, paper and any shelf above the desk. A product page can describe the lamp's controls and listed size; it cannot position the head for your room. Use a deliberate setup check rather than assuming a lamp's “screen mode” or wide-beam label will solve every reflection.
Start with a clear path for the head
Place the monitor and paper where you normally use them, then identify the zone that needs illumination. Check whether the lamp's base or clamp can sit where it must, and trace the arm's movement between a reading position and a screen position. A two-section arm and a single-section arm may fit differently, but a product page's listed height does not reveal every reachable point. For tight shelves or wall cabinets, look for a diagram or manual for the exact model.
Check reflections with the equipment you actually own
After a candidate is positioned, switch on the light and observe the screen from your normal viewing location. If an image or bright spot is distracting, adjust the head and task location. There is no universal direction that works in every desk arrangement; monitor angle, surface sheen, room light and user position can change what is visible. This simple observation is a personal setup check, not a lab measure or an eye-health test.
Keep paper and screen requirements distinct
A lamp may offer separate modes for paper and screens. The BenQ e-Reading and Genie pages describe both modes and manual changes to brightness and color temperature. Choose a setting that is comfortable for the actual work, then re-check the beam and reflections after moving the head. Do not assume an automatic mode will position the lamp or eliminate glare for you.
Make package and assembly part of setup
Before ordering, identify the exact US product and confirm whether the adapter, base, clamp, screws or other necessary parts are in the offered box. If a mount is sold separately, verify its model compatibility and desk-edge requirements in the current instructions. The BenQ Desk Clamp page, for example, names the desk models it supports and explicitly excludes Genie. Keep the user manual for assembly and safe operation rather than relying on a family name or a seller's generic compatibility statement.
Earlier saved included-clamp answer (historical snapshot)
Decision: Among the forty-one reviewed desk-lamp records, none has both a documented clamp arrangement and documentation that the compatible clamp is included in the exact lamp package. The BenQ e-Reading lamp has only a separately sold compatible clamp. The Switch's included clip is a different attachment, not a clamp. Purify SCNQC00S, Charge Up CS3QB009-SHPR, Direct CS01BS9-SHPR and the five cycle-17 OttLite records each use a documented tabletop base.
No-match explanation: The only documented clamp plan belongs to BenQ e-Reading and requires a separately sold Desk Clamp; its standard lamp package is not documented with that clamp. Switch supplies a clip, not a clamp. The White CSR1600C-SHPR phone-holder lamp, White/Grey Cool Breeze, Beam, Pharmacy, Good Housekeeping table, Adjust, Sanitizing, the three cycle-16 models and the five cycle-17 OttLite models use tabletop-base arrangements; none documents an included compatible clamp. This empty set describes the forty-one reviewed configurations, not every market offering.
Open the finder while keeping “clamp included in the exact package” as a hard requirement. If a separately purchased accessory is acceptable, instead choose the clamp-mounted arrangement and verify e-Reading's exact clamp package and desk-edge fit.
The White SanitizingPRO SC1AP00S has only a tabletop-base plan in its exact instructions. Its included adapter is not a clamp, and the purifier features do not change the empty clamp-in-package result.
Earlier saved clamp-included interaction (historical snapshot)
Decision: Selecting both clamp mounting and “the clamp must be included” produces no match in this reviewed set. BenQ e-Reading supports a compatible clamp only as a separate accessory; the Switch's included clip is different and does not satisfy the clamp-plan condition. All forty-one reviewed configurations have documented tabletop-base arrangements, although some products also offer a clip or separate clamp plan. Check the exact offer and the attachment's desk compatibility separately.
Read the e-Reading review for its accessory caveat, or open the finder with both the clamp arrangement and included-package requirements retained.
The new SanitizingPRO record is also among the base-mounted models without a documented clamp; it does not add a match to the clamp-plus-included-package interaction.
Cycle 17 saved included-clamp answer (historical snapshot)
Decision: None of the forty-one reviewed product records documents a compatible clamp included with a clamp-mounted lamp.
No-match explanation: The only reviewed clamp-capable lamp, BenQ e-Reading, is documented with a separately sold Desk Clamp; the exact lamp package does not document the clamp as included. The Switch lamp includes a clip rather than a clamp. White SanitizingPRO SC1AP00S documents a tabletop base and supplied power adapter, not a clamp. Purify SCNQC00S, Charge Up CS3QB009-SHPR and Direct CS01BS9-SHPR each document a tabletop base, not a clamp package. The five new Prevention CSE13G5P, Cone 286SV9, Twist CSNWC51W, Dual Shade NS2009-SHPR and Balance CS01KA9-SHPR arrangements also use tabletop bases; their clock, Qi pad, speaker, flexible neck or counterbalance arm does not establish clamp mounting. The other reviewed product records also do not document a compatible clamp included with their lamp packages. This empty set covers the forty-one reviewed configurations, not every desk lamp in the market.
Open the finder with only the exact-package clamp requirement retained. See the e-Reading accessory notes, the Switch clip assessment and the SanitizingPRO tabletop assessment for the distinct arrangements.
Cycle 17 saved clamp-included interaction (historical snapshot)
Decision: Selecting both clamp mounting and an included compatible clamp produces no match among the current forty-one reviewed product records.
No-match explanation: Because both conditions are required, the only reviewed clamp-capable lamp, BenQ e-Reading, does not match: the compatible Desk Clamp is separately sold, and its exact lamp package does not document the clamp as included. The Switch lamp includes a clip rather than a clamp. White SanitizingPRO SC1AP00S is tabletop-base mounted and its included power adapter is not a clamp. Purify SCNQC00S, Charge Up CS3QB009-SHPR and Direct CS01BS9-SHPR also have documented base plans, not clamp packages. Prevention CSE13G5P, Cone 286SV9, Twist CSNWC51W, Dual Shade NS2009-SHPR and Balance CS01KA9-SHPR document base plans only and no included compatible clamp. This empty set covers the forty-one reviewed product records, not every desk lamp in the market.

Cycle 26 saved included-clamp answer (historical snapshot)
None of the cycle-23 Multi-Device Charging Station, Thrive SCEY708S or LED Task Light 290009/290G59 listings documents a clamp arrangement or clamp in the package; all three are assessed in tabletop standing/base configurations. Their exact Multi-Device, Thrive and LED Task Light reviews keep those support details separate from charging or portability features.
Decision: The White OttLite 18w FlexArm Plus A13WG2-SHPR is the one reviewed lamp with a documented clamp included in its clamp-mounted package.
OttLite’s current page describes the A13WG2-SHPR conversion kit as including both a weighted tabletop base and an adjustable rotating clamp; the model-matched instructions describe those as alternate assemblies. For the clamp setup, the manual specifies a firm platform no thicker than 1½ inches, says to tighten the knob by hand rather than using a tool, and warns against positioning the shade outside the indicated safe area. Those installation limits are part of the fit answer, not an assumption that any desk edge will work.
The included clamp does not make this an LED dimmer: the exact listing describes a pin-based CFL bulb, and the manual says OttLite bulbs are not dimmable. The page posts a state-specific sales notice for this lamp type; check current seller eligibility and the exact replacement tube code before buying. BenQ e-Reading remains clamp-capable but uses a separately sold clamp, while the Switch lamp’s included clip is not a clamp.

Cycle 26 saved clamp-and-included interaction (historical snapshot)
The three cycle-23 OttLite lamps each use a documented tabletop arrangement and none has an included clamp package; Multi-Device's device stands, Thrive's USB/clock base and LED Task Light's portability are not edge-mount fittings.
Decision: Selecting both clamp mounting and an included compatible clamp matches the White OttLite 18w FlexArm Plus A13WG2-SHPR in this reviewed set.
The four cycle-25 OttLite assessments—Black Cobra, Black/White Slimline, White Recharge and Black Gleam—document tabletop-base arrangements only. None has a compatible clamp arrangement or a documented clamp included in the exact package; their USB output, recharge cable, Qi pad and adjustment points do not change the mount answer.
The distinction is package-specific. BenQ e-Reading has a compatible clamp but the manufacturer describes it as a separate accessory; it therefore does not satisfy the included-clamp condition. The 18w FlexArm Plus page describes a conversion kit containing both a weighted tabletop base and an adjustable rotating clamp, and its manual supports a clamp plan for a firm surface up to 1½ inches thick. The lamp's base and clamp are alternative arrangements, and a clip-on attachment such as the Switch's is not a clamp. The 18w lamp uses a non-dimmable pin-based CFL, so compare its documented bulb, state notice and mount limits before ordering.
Read the A13WG2-SHPR review and e-Reading accessory notes. Open the finder with clamp mounting and package inclusion both retained; it returns the full one-model intersection.
Current answer: a documented included clamp package
Decision: Seven reviewed exact clamp configurations document an included clamp when that configured lamp package is selected: OttLite 18w FlexArm Plus A13WG2-SHPR, BenQ ScreenBar Max, Humanscale Nova Clamp Mount, Infinity Clamp Base, and the Element Disc, Element Vision and Element 790 selected clamp configurations.
These are configuration-specific claims, not a promise that any clamp fits any desk or that a Desktop Base code contains a clamp. ScreenBar Max lists a 6 cm desk limit; FlexArm Plus specifies a firm surface up to 1½ inches. Nova's current US feed lists the NV4EC clamp variants, while Infinity lists Clamp Base NF3ECW-. The three Element configurators offer clamp styles C, G and T, with captured Silver C routes ECECS, EVECS and EDECS. The Humanscale sources do not publish jaw ranges, so confirm the offered mount code, package and desk edge in current instructions. BenQ e-Reading has a compatible clamp sold separately and is excluded by this exact-package condition.

Current interaction: clamp mounting plus clamp included
Decision: Requiring clamp mounting and clamp inclusion matches seven selected configurations: ScreenBar Max, OttLite 18w FlexArm Plus, Humanscale Nova and Infinity clamp variants, and the Element Disc, Element Vision and Element 790 clamp configurations.
ScreenBar Max has a 6 cm desk limit; FlexArm Plus has a 1½-inch firm-surface limit. Nova's exact NV4EC variants and Infinity's NF3ECW- are listed clamp configurations. Element's C/G/T choices are selected support configurations, not the corresponding base model codes. Humanscale does not publish a jaw range in the reviewed sources. e-Reading is excluded because its clamp is a separate accessory; the Switch's included clip is a different support type.
