Privacy information

Privacy and your finder choices

Desk Lamp Fit Guide does not require an account or take orders or payments. The finder asks about product requirements; please do not enter sensitive or personally identifying information.

Using the finder

When you request matches, your selected product requirements are sent to this site’s matching service. The browser also keeps your choices in session storage so you can return from a review without answering again. Use the finder’s clear-choices control to reset them.

Some links prefill the finder through URL query parameters. Those choices can appear in browser history and ordinary server request logs. Avoid sharing a prefilled URL if you do not want someone else to see its selections.

Opening a buying page

A buying link can carry your product choices to BuyerShortlists in the URL fragment, the part after the # symbol. Its page script reads them to display your selections. They are not added to the Amazon search link. Removing the fragment from a saved link removes those carried selections.

Website requests

Hosting and security services can process technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL and time. This site uses Cloudflare for delivery and security, and loads web fonts from Google Fonts. Requests to those providers are subject to their own practices: Cloudflare privacy policy and Google privacy policy.

Other websites

Manufacturer sources, BuyerShortlists and retailers are separate websites. Their privacy and cookie notices apply when you visit them. Purchases and payment details are handled by the retailer, not by Desk Lamp Fit Guide.
